Astro to address me by my Prefered Name that I have requested through workday
User has a preferred name that have requested in Workday, but Astro is still addressing them by their legal name. The preferred name should be used consistently throughout the Astro experience.
Hi Celesta! I should have updated this in the Idea Portal when it was implemented, but it's implemented! Thanks for your idea and I hope you and family are well!
This should be prioritized as it is not just so that people are referred to by their "nicknames". Preferred names are used by transgender people and gender non conforming people so that they are addressed by their chosen names.
As part of PwC’s commitment to being an inclusive workplace, we want to raise awareness about and understanding of gender and gender identity, and specifically, transgender individuals and communities.
PwC is committed to working with transgender staff members, their career coaches, HR managers, teams and clients to support and respect our transgender staff members, and aims to keep private matters as confidential as practicable. Gender transition can mean a variety of things and will be different for each person.
Made up example: A transgender man has their preferred name as "Mike" in workday, their legal name is "Michelle". Astro address him as "Michelle" - meaning Astro has just disclosed the transgender identity of this individual that may be private.
Tim Ryan also mentions the inclusion policy document in this email communication.
